Research Project: A Strong Topic Saves Time and Trouble

Friday December 2, 2005
And it will keep your interest in the days and weeks to come

Do you find yourself losing interest in a research project after the first few days, even though the clock is ticking fast? Do you start off with a bang, but then start to lose interest? If you suddenly find it harder and harder to head off to the library, you could be suffering from the effects of choosing a topic that is difficult to research. There is a way to battle this pitfall ahead of time.

If you spend a little time on the first day and find a strong topic that you can back up with lots of research, you'll be more likely to stay excited about your choice. Take the time to do some preliminary research before you set off on your project. You'll avoid frustration and create a better paper!
