What are Fireworks Made Of?

Saturday June 24, 2006
Did you ever wonder where all those pretty colors came from as you watched the fireworks streak across the sky every 4th of July?

If you're into science, it has probably crossed your mind. Our Chemistry Guide, Dr. Anne Marie Helmenstine, has provided some fascinating answers.

We all know that we couldn't have fireworks without gunpowder, so she's provided an article on gunpowder facts and history. Next, she explains how scientists come up with all those beautiful displays with the chemistry of fireworks colors. But that's not all! Remember sparklers? Find out how sparklers work and then impress your friends this summer.

You really didint anwser the question because the title that pops up on the google search engine, clearly says, what are fireworks made of? and all you are talking about is the history of gunpowder and what makes the fireworks colorful and who cares about what makes a sparkler work!!!! Stay on the topic!!!PLEASE!!!

It was very thoughtful of whoever made this website to make it, and it tells a lot of things about the history of gun powder, which I find quite interesting. But, on the contrary, I think that what whoever made it didn’t really think about what the question was and how to answer it. I mean, the search from ask.com or yahoo or google or whatever says clearly, What are fireworks made of? And the author didn’t answer that question. If you think I am right, give me feedback and tell me why.
Thank you very much!

Judging from the spelling of some of the entries who claimed to need the information for school all I can say is “give up now”. You guys are obviously brain dead already and are just wasting tax payers’ money on your education.
