The Computer Ate My Homework!

Tuesday August 29, 2006
It's a feeling every writer knows and dreads.

Have you ever worked on a paper for hours (or days), only to see your hard work disappear before your eyes? Or, have you searched for a paper you wrote a few days earlier, but you can't seem to find it anywhere? If so, you're not alone.

Fortunately, there are a few tricks for preventing and recovering lost documents. The best way to prevent a real disaster ahead of time is to take precautions now! My favorite tip? If you're working on a long paper, take the time to send it to yourself as an attachment. That way you can retrieve it from any computer, if necessary.
