Balancing Grades and Extracurricular Activities

Many high school students get confused about priorities because they hear so many conflicting opinions when it comes to extracurricular activities. As a result, many students end up trying to do too much, and then they burn out.

If you're trying to strike a balance between your homework and your activities, you're not alone. Just keep in mind that activities should improve your life, not make your life miserable.

As far as college admission goes, activities should say something about your personality and your interests. The worst thing you can do is try to pack a resume with too many activities and come across as a phony.
