Raise your hand if you've ever scrambled together a paper at the last minute.

I admit it: my hand is in the air. What student hasn't felt the panic of realizing late in the evening that a paper is due bright and early the next morning? It's a terrible feeling, but it's a common problem. No matter how or why you get into this situation, it’s important to remain calm and clear-headed. You have a lot of work to do and a little time to do it. Fortunately, there are a few tips that will help you get through the night with a pretty good paper. And you can do this and still get some sleep!

When you write a paper at the last minute, you're forced to zero in on the most essential facts and points, churn them around in your brain, and probe straight to the deeper meaning. Sometimes this rushed method actually creates a pretty interesting outcome.
