The Big Wall Calendar

There is a perfect organization tool for everybody. I've mentioned a time or two that colored sticky flags are my favorite. When you find the perfect tool for your lifestyle--something that becomes an easy part of your daily routine--you might find that your grades improve dramatically.

The giant wall calendar is one of those tools that can make a big difference in your school performance. By purchasing two items, the big wall calendar and a pack of colored stickers, you can come up with a great system for getting assignments done on time.

Simply place the big wall calendar in a prominent place near your regular study space. Then come up with a color code for your classes (like green for math and yellow for history). When you have a big due date or a test date, place the appropriate colored sticker on that date. The sticker will be something you can see every time you enter the room, so it works as a constant reminder. This trick is simple, cheap, and so effective!

How to use this tip:
1. Come up with a color code for your classes (like green for math and yellow for history).
2. When you have a big due date or a test date, place the appropriate colored sticker on that date. (I would add the name of the assignment to that sticker)
I would also like to add that you can break down your assignments in little deadlines so you know what to do each day. I.e. if you have to read 100 pages by a certain date, divide the pages by how many days you have until the due date minus days that you won’t work on it (for whatever reason) and post that on your calendar. (10 pages/day Monday through Friday for 2 weeks.)

Or you can use that for writing papers. I.e. day 1 and 2 gather research. day 3 organize thoughts into outline. day 4. write rough draft. day 5, write final. Day 6. re read paper and make corrections. Print. put in backpack. Day 7 is the due date and you don’t have to work on it-just turn it in. DONE!
