Girls Break the Math Stereotype!

Monday July 28, 2008

Good news! A recent study has shown that girls perform as well as boys on standardized math tests. The study, funded by The National Science Foundation, finally breaks down that old stereotype about girls having a tougher time in math class.

Why did it take so long to find this evidence? Scientists who conducted the study say that girls simply took fewer advanced math courses than boys in days past. Now that the curriculum is pretty equal when it comes to the genders, the test scores are equal!

Well its a little hard to believe. Cos all around we see that girls always have tough time with math while at the same time they do better than guys in anything that deals with memorizing stuff..something is definitely wrong with the study results..

i dont know what cherokee is talking about.
“all around we see girls…”
where is this “all around”?
cherokee, i highly doubt you are accredited for noting statistics.
but anyway, i don’t know how relevant gender really is with when it comes to being “talented”. there are far too many media stereotypes to be broken.
