Create a Table of Contents

At some point you'll be writing papers that are lengthy enough to require a table of contents.

Students of all ages get frustrated trying to do this, because they try to do it manually, without using the built-in process in Microsoft Word. The TOC tool is not all that easy to use, but it works beautifully once you get the hang of it. By using this step-by-step guide, you can insert a professional-looking table of contents quickly and so easily--without worrying about the spacing and numbers lining up correctly.
