Prepare a Summer Reading List
Even if you plan to get a job this summer, you'll start getting a little restless within a few weeks. It's an annoying little fact for many teens: strong young brains just crave stimulation.
It's always a good idea to have a plan, so you might want to make a list of the books you'd like to read this summer. Have you heard about a good fantasy series that you'd like to check out? Or maybe you prefer to read nonfiction books? Even romance stories are good for increasing your vocabulary and improving grammar through reading. Find a genre that you like, do a little research online, and come up with a reading schedule for the summer. Your brain will love you for it.

I found this great book for keeping your kids on track over the summer. It’s great for building reading comprehension and vocabulary as well as writing skills over summer break.
It’s called Summer Daily Brainwork:
