MLA Bibliography

Internet Article

Articles from the Internet may be the most difficult to cite. Always include as much information as possible, in the following order:

  • Name of author or publishing body
  • Title of work
  • Title of web site or company
  • Version, edition
  • Site publisher, sponsor, or owner
  • Date of publication
  • Medium (Web)
  • Date you accessed source

You no longer need to include the URL in your citation (MLA Seventh edition). Web sources are difficult to cite, and it is possible that two people might cite the same source two different ways. The important thing is to be consistent!
